LOUISVILLE, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officers announced they relocated a bear out of a northern Colorado town between Denver and Boulder on Tuesday.

CPW officials said they relocated an adult male bear out of Louisville, CO, after it had been in the area for a few days and it was not moving out on its own.

CPW officers darted and relocated the bear with help from local officers in the area.

CPW officials said they have been seeing a large increase in bear reports and conflicts this year due to drought. The drought is affecting their natural food sources and has been depleting.

CPW urges residents to keep trash away from bears, as it is harmful to them and encourages conflicts with humans.
